Frontier Airlines has two ticket types, refundable and non-refundable. They also provide a WORKS bundle for passengers needing more flexibility. Frontier airlines refund policy also makes its regulations on that basis: 

Non-refundable tickets:


  • The budget-friendly tickets Frontier Airlines provides are non-refundable and are booked most often. 

  • Cancellation is free within 24 hours of booking. After this, cancellation fees apply, and travel credit can only be given. 

  • But if you cancel 60 days before the flight, it will be free. 

  • If you cancel within 60 days of your flight, cancellation fees will apply, ranging from $99 to $199. 

  • The airline deducts cancellation fees from your ticket price. The balance is credited to your Frontier Airlines account, and you can spend it within 90 days from the day of issuance. 

Refundable or WORKS bundle: 


  • This is an option if you are still booking and need flexibility with your ticket. 

  • This option guarantees a full refund; there are no cancellation fees. 

  • All cancellations made 24 hours or more before the scheduled departure will receive a full refund. 

  • This option is only available for purchase when making your reservation. 

Cancellation process: 


According to Frontier Airlines, passengers can cancel online or contact the customer service representative regarding cancellation. Here is the process online: 

  • Visit Frontier Airlines' website. 

  • Click on the tab "My Trip". 

  • Enter the confirmation code provided in the ticket and your last name. 

  • Select the flight you want to cancel. 

  • Select the cancel flight option. 

  • You will then get a refund as per your ticket type. 

  • If eligible for reimbursement, passengers can only fill out the refund request form from the help section.

  • Added flexibility for Elite members: Frequent flyers will have flexibility by participating in the Frontier miles program. Holders with elite diamond status will be provided with refundable fares and offered early boarding, along with free baggage and seat selection. 

  • Miss the flight: If you miss your flight, it will cancel your booking automatically. You will lose all the money and not be entitled to credits or refunds.
